The MP5A4 is the primary sub machine-gun used by the USMC. It is available for the Grenadier and the Scout. It primarily as a CQB weapon, an area of that it excels at. Lightweight, quick to aim, reasonably accurate (at short range) and the highest rate of fire in the game are all strong points. However the 9mm rounds are weak against PLA enemies, particularly PLA SpecOps  troops who wear armor. Don't be surprised if they survive being shot and return fire.

Origin[]

The Heckler & Koch MP5 (or Maschinenpistole 5, meaning "machine pistol model 5") is a German-designed submachine gun, most often chambered in the 9x19mm Parabellum round. It was designed in the 1960s, and now has over 100 different variants. It has been adopted by the governments of over 40 nations and numerous police and security organizations. In the 1990s, H&K released their UMP submachine gun, intended to replace the MP5, however, the MP5 continues to be in widespread use around the world.

It was designed originally as the HK54, one of a group of firearms based on the G3 action and the 9mm pistol round.

The MP5A4 is simply an updated variant of the MP5A2, the standard MP5 model. The MP5A2 has a fixed polymer stock, where the MP5A3 has a retractable metal stock. The MP5A4 is the MP5A2 with an optional four-position trigger group, allowing automatic fire, three-round burst fire, semi-automatic fire, and a safety.

Specifications[]

The MP5A4 fires the NATO standard pistol cartridge, the 9mm x 19mm round, known by many names, including 9mm Luger, 9mm Parabellum, and 9mm NATO. The MP5A4 fires from a 30-round box magazine, in full-auto, burst-fire, or semi-auto fire modes.

Attachments[]

As a close-range submachine gun, scopes such as the marksman scope would be nearly useless, so they are not available optics, and the M203 grenade launcher is too large for the MP5A4, so it cannot be attached.
